I can’t tell you how excited I was to be asked to do a book event by Barnes & Noble! They wanted to do a traditional book signing, but I thought this would be a great time to teach about the importance of greening your cleaning. So the coordinator at the store worked with me and we put together a great event that was going to benefit everyone. We started with Starbucks Coffee from their B&N Cafe along with some yummy sandwiches and the best chocolate chip cookies EVER!
Then we got started learning about why I think it’s so important for you to consider “green your cleaning”. When I shared one statistic about the number of carcinogens in a particular cleaning scrub – all mouths dropped! That’s right, a well known cleansing scrub that we all grew up with was found to have SEVEN different carcinogens in it by EWG.org. I’m not making this up. The study was done a few years ago and the research is actually buried down in the bowels of the EWG website.
In this study, they found that Comet has 7 known carcinogens and 147 different airborne allergens. This scrub is used in millions of homes as well as schools all across the country. I KNOW, it’ crazy. The even crazier thing is that if you use a “green” version of the scrub, made with three simple ingredients that you probably have in your pantry, your DIY green scrub will work BETTER and rinse off easier than the store-bought brand.
Don’t believe me yet? No worries. I’m going to give you my recipe for a DIY scrub that you can use in your kitchen sink, your bathroom sink – even your toilet. And I want to to take the challenge. You can watch me perform the challenge in the video below, but I want you to try it in your own kitchen sink. You are going to be amazed.
So, go to this link and get the recipe for my green cleaning scrub and start realizing that greening your cleaning can make a huge difference for you and your family. Do it NOW!
